Dr Bernardi Pranggono is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Network Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University, UK. 
His research focuses on computer networking and cyber security for critical infrastructure (CI) such as smart grid. How to protect CI against external and internal cyber-physical attacks, such as against Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA)-specific vulnerabilities, advanced persistent threat (APT) and malware. He also has interests in cloud computing, optical networking, and green ICT.
He has previously held positions at the Glasgow Caledonian University, Queen's University Belfast and University of Leeds. He received his B.Eng degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Waseda University, Japan, M.DigComms degree in Digital Communications from Monash University, Australia and Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK. He has held industrial positions at Oracle, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Accenture, and Telstra. He served as a TPC member of IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE HPCC and reviewer of Optical Switching and Networking, IEEE Transaction on Power Delivery, IEEE Communication Magazine, IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE ICC, etc.
